2nd Annual Project Winter Warm Up!

2nd Annual Project Winter Warm Up! 2016

With the help of so many wonderful people, we were able to successfully complete our 2nd Annual Project Winter Warm Up!. We collected 232 coats and jackets, 150 hats and scarves, 110 pair of gloves, 250 new pair of underwear, 250 new pair of socks, 294 blankets, and other warm items, as well as first aid kits, bottled water, non-perishable snacks, and small toiletry type items.

Donations were separated by gender and size and bagged for distribution. We were generously donated the use of a cargo van this year making distributing a much easier process. Distribution was Friday evening, December 16, 2016. The temperature had dipped well below freezing that night. This year we were able to locate the bridge that 2 years prior started us on this mission. We began our distribution there and continued on to other locations throughout the city.

We were once again humbled and so grateful for the outpouring of support that we received. This project would not have been possible without the generous contributions from our donors, our awesome drop-off location partners, and our amazing team. HUGE thanks to you all!!!!

***Special thanks to Dennis McGuire, Junk Drunk Jones, Forte Luggage, Elysium Cottage, the First Baptist Church of Fairburn’s Mae Cook WOM, and our 2016 Shining Star Jarrod Dobson.
