2nd Annual Project Winter Warm Up!

Something that most of us likely take for granted is warmth. Staying warm is a basic human need that everyone deserves. Please help us help those in need by donating a warm winter coat!

We will be accepting winter outerwear in good condition to be distributed to the homeless on the streets of metro Atlanta. Our goal last year was to collect and distribute 100, but we actually collected and distributed more than 160!!! This year we are setting the goal at 300!

We will be collecting new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets. Search your closets, garages, and rental storage!

We became aware last year during this project that in addition to winter outerwear there is also a great need for basic necessities like NEW underwear and socks… so we will be adding these items to our care packages as well.

Here are the items we are currently focused on collecting:

Gently Used or New Coats (The greatest need is for Men and Women’s Coats but we will also be accepting Children’s Coats)
Winter Hats / Toboggans
Scarves
Gloves
Blankets (Personal size are best)
NEW Underwear (Men and Women’s – Size L and XL needed most)
NEW Socks (Men and Women)
Bandaids (Blisters are a common problem)
Lip balm
Tissues (Individual Packs)
Wet wipes (Travel Size Packs)
Deodorant
Tooth Brush
Toothpaste
Snacks (Individually wrapped like Cheese Crackers or Soft Granola Bars like Nutrigrain type bars. Preferably things that are not too crunchy or sticky since poor dental hygiene is often an issue)
Bottled Water
